Lysanne Louter

Investigative Journalist, Filmmaker and Digital Specialist

Lysanne Louter is a specialist that complements the overall team of Crossroads Consulting with her journalism experience.  Her passion and ability to create a well written story is an asset in developing compelling materials.

Lysanne is an International Emmy Award-winning documentary filmmaker with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s premiere investigative news program the fifth estate. An accomplished  journalist with more than ten years experience producing, directing, and reporting for CBC programs in English and French including The National and Enquête. Also published articles in the Toronto Star, Montreal Gazette and Calgary Herald.

Lysanne has a Bachelor's degree in journalism and a Master's degree in social justice and equity studies.  She brings her passion for sustainability, justice, health and community to every story she produces.

Lsyanne has interviewed many important public figures including Canada's former Prime Minister Paul Martin and environmentalist David Suzuki.  She has covered two Quebec provincial and three Canadian federal elections, as well as the Dawson College shooting, flooding in New Brunswick, the 2008 Francophone Summit, the Montreal International Jazz Festival, Just for Laughs, and the 2005 United Nations Climate Change Conference.  Lysanne is working on a book following refugees during their first year in Canada as they navigate the immigration and Refugee Board and life in a new country.
