Lysanne Louter, Bilingual Journalist
Lysanne Louter complements the overall team of Crossroads Consulting with her journalism experience. Her passion and ability to create a well written story is an asset in developing compelling materials for the clients of Crossroads Consulting. She can also provide communications and liaise with francophone based organizations.
Lysanne is a bilingual Montreal journalist with six years experience working in television, radio and print. Most recently, she worked as a producer for The National on CBC Television and as a VJ with CBC's daily lifestyle program, Living Montreal. She has also published feature articles in the Toronto Star and the Montreal Gazette. Lysanne has a Bachelor's degree in journalism and a Master's degree in social justice and equity studies. She brings her passion for sustainability, justice, health and community to every story she produces.
Lsyanne has interviewed many important public figures including Canada's former Prime Minister Paul Martin and environmentalist David Suzuki. She has covered two Quebec provincial and three Canadian federal elections, as well as the Dawson College shooting, flooding in New Brunswick, the 2008 Francophone Summit, the Montreal International Jazz Festival, Just for Laughs, and the 2005 United Nations Climate Change Conference. Lysanne is currently working on a book following refugees during their first year in Canada as they navigate the immigration and Refugee Board and life in a new country.
